LIFE is the financial instrument created by the European Union in order to contribute to the implementation and development of the Community policy in the field of environment and environmental legislation. Life finances innovative demonstration pojects within three thematic lines of action:

  • Environment: concerns demonstration and innovative actions for economic activities and local authorities and preparatory actions for environmental legislation.
  • Nature: concerns the conservation of natural habitats and wild flora and fauna.
  • Third Countries:concerns the provision of technical assistance to administrative structures in third countries on the Mediterranean and the Baltic Sea.
